Welcome to the distriqt // air native extensions UserVoice site. This site is designed for you to leave feedback and suggestions on the native extensions, or even just to let us know how we are doing.

We are constantly looking for new extensions to develop so feel free to suggest ideas! We would love to know what you would like to see in our extensions, any enhancements or new extensions that we haven’t currently implemented.

  1. Audio Processing Library

    Since AS3 is a little slow for processing things like Fast Fourier Transforms in real-time, it'd be great to have an ANE to modify Tempo, Pitch and Playback Rate of audio files. Open-source C++ libraries already exist http://www.surina.net/soundtouch/, so it just needs to be converted into a native extension, which distriqt already does so well!

    Another useful feature would be Pitch Detection, for music learning apps and instrument tuners.

  2. Rescan Media

    Some Android Tablets won't allow for us to open a file because the system needs to scan the file/folder. For example, if I download a new APK it may popup with a PARSE ERROR when I try to install the new APK (I have a separate ANE that will open any file on Android with the default application).

    Rescan(f:File, callback); would be all that is necessary IMO.

    It would be imporant to include the default configuration so it will fail safe for iOS/Windows/OSX.

  3. grouping markers in native maps

    is there any way to group markers? i have plenty of markers in an area but i'd like to group the ones that are close enough as i zoom out into a single marker and maybe with a different marker icon
    Can this be done somehow ?

    Also i'd like to know if there is a way to calculate the distance of a marker from my location. Ideally, calculate the distance not as a straight line but as a walking route between the two map points.Exactly as it is in the javascript google maps

    If it can't be done right…

  4. Samsung In-App Purchases

    Native extension to access the in-app payment service provided by Samsung Apps (Android)

  6. Video Editor like Instagram and Video Capture with size and length control

    Hello, we have problem on capturing videos by AS3. no size and no length control we have. I'm suggesting an Camera with video control function on and a native video split and edit something like Instagram to make application have some control on captured videos with AS3.
