A MIDI ANE that allows access to and use of the standard General MIDI instruments and ability to play MIDI files
MIDI is a well entrenched standard for music and other uses. The ability to create and playback MIDI files with General MIDI instruments would be great for music in games, music apps etc. without having to package in wav/mp3 files or build synths.

WatchDog for Android ANE
My app (some navigation application) can run in backround on Android devices. But some Samsung devices can force shutdown my application (even when free ram memory is enough).
I need some additional service, that check status of my app (by id) and can restart my activity process if needed.

MediaPlayer - background color
It would be great if we could set the frame color that flicker before the video starts (currently it is black)

Native List ANE for large scrolling lists
Hi everyone!
We are currently investigating the possibility of building a new ANE to handle large scrolling lists using native components.
Large lists in AIR can be slow and problematic. the Feathers library has a very good implementation which works well, however it's not quite as fast as native lists and not everybody uses Starling & Feathers for their apps.
As such we'd like to develop an ANE to let developers utilise native UI (such as the UITableView on iOS) to achieve the best performance for long lists of data.

New ANE suggestion: SSL Pinning
Hi,
since differently handled on iOS and Android i guess this would be an ideal (and definitely needed) ANE for all AIR mobile apps which need to exchange data with a server.

Twitter ANE
What?
ANE that integrates with the official iOS SDK and makes use of the single sign on.
Why?
Improve the users experience. Improve the quality of Adobe Air apps.
15 votesWe are currently in discussions with the team at fabric and discussing our best options in terms of providing a usable ANE here.
There are some issues with the way the fabric (and hence Twitter) SDK is distributed that we are addressing.
We will update as soon as we have more information.

Apple AirPlay Support
1) The ability to mirror the stage on the TV screen via Airplay
2) Additionally, it'd be nice to be able to send the display of a movieclip/sprite to the video device.

Chromecast ANE
Not sure if its possible but would be awesome to be able to use chromecast through an air app. I have been able to do it by sharing it to Allcast, but integrated into an app would be better.

Android ADK ANE for Hardware-Communication
The Android Accesorry Development Kit allows Phones to easily communicate via USB-Host-enabled Hardware. Easy to access all sort of Microcontrollers for example. Would be great, and I guess not "that much" of an effort to gain these possibilities in Air. <3

Camera Ane Update to add Move and Scale ability
Adding the ability to specify whether the user can move/scale the selected image (or image taken with the camera) before confirming to use the image.
Also possibly adding the ability to add an overlay bitmap to the camera viewfinder.

Implement startRecordingVideo() in CameraANE.
The CameraUI provided in AIR is barely usable and the video very low quality, we need an alternative.

Rescan Media
Some Android Tablets won't allow for us to open a file because the system needs to scan the file/folder. For example, if I download a new APK it may popup with a PARSE ERROR when I try to install the new APK (I have a separate ANE that will open any file on Android with the default application).
Rescan(f:File, callback); would be all that is necessary IMO.
It would be imporant to include the default configuration so it will fail safe for iOS/Windows/OSX.
