Dev Subscription Account
Please Make an option to pay you a reoccurring fee to have access to updates and new stuff as it comes out. I for one would pay monthly for this type of access. Right now it is difficult so see what I own/do not own.

I'd love for there to be a chip-in function in addition to suggestions. It'd actually allow you to prioritise better, because votes are free, hard earned cash is not :)

My main example are the Facebook ANEs. Purchasing these only once given the dynamic nature of the problem (constantly shifting sdk) does not set up a situation where the developers can maintain profits long term. The frequency of updates required forces us to think of these software packages as services or to allow them to start charging us for version updates. I prefer to stay ahead which incentivizes speedy release of new tech. And since all these platforms are pretty volatile I would make the same case for the other ANEs as well.

Also start crowd funding new ANEs so we can get them faster. I would pay up front and then pay you to maintain. You guys do a great job and I want to keep you funded and moving forward.

More details. You get access or updates while you are paying. When you stop paying you still have the ability to use whatever versions you had access to. Make it more expensive for monthly and cheaper for yearly. Easy.

I think the idea needs fleshing out more in order to say if it's viable or desirable. e.g. what happens to existing apps if the subscription ends?
Could someone turn on/off the subscription as and when they need access to the ANE's?
If not, what would happen if the subscription is closed?I personally like the paid for route. Although I purchased the original bundle of ANE's, there are only a handful that I use on a regular basis, I imagine most developers work in a similar way.
Access to all of them in reality isn't really necessary. -

This would be great! But does this mean that the app would have to do a look up to see if the key has expired? That would not be good for apps that run primarily offline. I'd would definitely pay a subscription to get all the ANE's (rather than buy each individually). It would be nice if we could buy all out right again....

I like the way Adobe did their subscription model but I use 4 of their products constantly so its a better deal than buying each one, but with the extensions its one or two at the most and once implemented I don't touch them too much, getting a monthly bill for something you haven't worked with in a while will be annoying so my vote is against this idea.

This is a great idea!
If there is interest we'll set this up as a priority.
