Augmented Reality (AR) ANE
Augmented Reality ANE - same as IN2AR - I think it utilizes OpenCV - it is an untapped marked for AIR because of the poor Stage3d/Video support - now with VideoTexture in production it will be a breeze to create responsive AR apps all we are missing is a solid performing and affordable AR ANE to do the image processing in native code.

What about working with ARkit, or ARCore, as they are both cross platform, and should be easy to adapt and control functionality (as the core is already there), it will be mostly tapping in.

I believe AR/VR are both on the AIR Team's roadmap..

well ports to Vuforia and Wikitude are certainly a great workaround for those of us who need AR in production. Please, contact me if you decide to pursue any or all of those and i will be willing to invest. Thanks guys for the great master collection package - it was truly helpful to have access to the entire ANE library with a single license. Keep up the great work !

wikitude is amazing, i tested it in a native android and its performing great.
go with wikitude.b.t.w
myflashlabs tried to make ane with wikitude and they nearly finished working on it but the have some problems.. -

It would be really handy to be able to access the features from Vuforia or Wikitude, especially on line target managers with the ability to load our own 3D models or video content based on the data stored with each marker

We have attempted some initial prototypes of a AR ANE using OpenCV with mixed results.
Honestly mainly due to the fact that we aren't very fluent with AR and CV topics and spent a lot of time getting our head around all of the concepts involved. I think it may be too large a project to get an ANE working without more specialist input.
We are considering providing access to one of the SDKs available as an alternative such as:
- Vuforia (https://vuforia.com)
- Wikitude (http://www.wikitude.com)Vuforia seems like a good option, however we would welcome input here if you have any requests.
