What I need the most is obtaining the session key for the current session. Also other standard features, like obtaining friend list and achievements.

Yes, I think this would be the best way to do it.
PS. Adding PC/Mac support to other ANEs of yours (e.g. social) would be a great thing as well.

We are currently in discussions with the team at fabric and discussing our best options in terms of providing a usable ANE here.
There are some issues with the way the fabric (and hence Twitter) SDK is distributed that we are addressing.
We will update as soon as we have more information.
