We are currently reviewing developing a GameController ANE to access the iOS GameController framework.
If you have any recommendations as to what test devices we should be using that would be greatly appreciated.
Or if you have any priorities with the development, feel free to let us know.

Hi,
We are currently investigating what we can provide here. Intercepting the input from AIR can be troublesome however we may be able to provide some options.
If anyone has any specific bugs or issues they need addressed, please drop a comment describing the situation.

I have seen ANEs that have input fields (for example Facebook logins) being able to fix this so it's doable in AIR.

We are currently investigating the SDK’s and designing an API to suit the platforms.

You should get a gamepad that supports the Extended MFI controller to make sure you can test all buttons and both analog and digital joysticks.
The "Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i." for example is a great gamepad.
